The exhibition will open to the public on July 12, and the official opening ceremony will be on July 13 at 06:00 PM at Medina Art Gallery in Rome. The exhibition will run until July 25, 2024.

THE BODY LANGUAGE analyzes the hidden parts of our identities, through an immersive experience inside the fascinating universe of the complex labyrinths of our consciousness. The human body is a changing system that connects us with other bodies and spaces to perceive the surrounding reality; a strong communication system with its own language and infinite ways of expression.

The theme was explored by the artist Maria Gedroc, who combines fine art, graphic art, and photography, using mixed media such as acrylic paint, paper, wood, photography, and found objects. Her subjects often explore personal space and spirituality through architectural or natural elements, resulting in paintings, photography, collage, and three-dimensional structures with deep symbolism. Sahar Hamdi's painting reflects a rich blend of cultures and landscapes too, influenced by her experiences living in Tunisia, Brazil, Colombia, and Italy. Her work captures emotions, memories, and revelations, inviting viewers to explore human existence and the profound connection between the human spirit and the world through vibrant, introspective canvases, where the language of the body unfolds with timeless elegance and modern insight.

Rome’s vibrant streets and historic landmarks offer an inspiring setting for an exhibition that bridges the ancient with the contemporary. Such is the case for Janih Ch. Luthi, whose black-and-white photography emphasizes timeless aesthetics, focuses on contrast, light and shadow, texture, and composition. By eliminating color, her work allows for a deeper emotional response and a clearer, more intense representation of the subject.

Exploring the intricate language of the human body, Alice Battilani, in collaboration with her sister Valentina, expresses herself through mixed media, connecting instinctively with the medium. As a decorator, Alice experiments across various forms, from painting to photography and clay work, reflecting the evolving nature of life and human relationships. Valentina's photographic skills complement Alice's artistic expressions, enhancing their creative synergy.

THE BODY LANGUAGE will be enriched by a great selection of video artworks (see https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nqBQb-vhlrAXqTpl12M_G5ZjgZT5zpp1/view?usp=drive_link ).
