Critical reaction has also been strong. The Independent Critic's review states: "The Dalai Lama - Scientist" is a revelation, both transcendent and immersive, and humanizes The Dalai Lama in a way I've never witnessed on the big screen. It's beautiful to behold. An absolute must-see...I truly loved every minute of it."

Community screenings of the film are already being held around the world in honor of the 30th Anniversary of the Dalai Lama winning the Nobel Peace Prize, and 12 months of community screenings are being planned.

The film is available in seven different languages: English, French, Spanish, Italian, Tibetan, Chinese and Hindi, and it will go live on hundreds of other streaming platforms around the world in the spring of 2020, via its distribution company Gravitas Ventures, including iTunes, Amazon, Vudu, YouTube, among the others.

In "The Dalai Lama -- Scientist", the Dalai Lama himself tells the unknown story of his lifelong journey into the world of science and technology, and how the world has changed as a result, through extensive, rare, and never before seen footage.
The film was produced by an international team, and it was directed and written by the award-winning female filmmaker, Dawn Gifford Engle. World-renowned scientists featured in the film include David Bohm, Anton Zeilinger, Paul Ekman, Aaron Beck, Francisco Varela, Richard Davidson, Michael Meany, Eric Lander, Christof Koch, and Nobel Prize Laureates Steven Chu and Yuan T. Lee.

This is the fifth film in PeaceJam Production's award-winning "Nobel Legacy Film Series", which began six years ago with the World Premiere of Desmond Tutu's life story, "Children of the Light", at the Monte Carlo Television Festival in June of 2014.
